Ryanair needed better targeting of notifications: ensuring that messages (promos, offers, reminders etc.) reach the right customers, at the right time, based on their behaviour / intent.
Existing systems perhaps were generic, not optimised for personalisation, or not sufficiently data-driven.
There was an opportunity to increase revenue via better notification/marketing channels.
OUR APPROACH & SOLUTION
We partnered with Ryanair’s data science team (in Krakow, Poland) to design & develop a notification algorithm.
Using user activity (searches, page views, location, cookies etc.), we built predictive models to infer interest in holidays / getaways etc., and tailor notifications accordingly.
We integrated this system with Ryanair’s marketing / notification infrastructure so that triggers are automated and personalised.
RESULT & SATISFACTION
The new system delivered very substantial revenue uplift (hundreds of millions of euros) from tailored notification marketing.
